An antique stone china soup tureen and platter by J.W. Ridgway. Made in England during the mid-19th century, this group includes a tureen in the Japan Flowers pattern. The tureen features images of red flower blossoms, blue leaves, and butterflies with gold tone accents throughout. Also included is a hexagonal platter in the Fancy Stone China pattern. The platter features images of red and purples flowers with blue and green leaves. The tureen is marked ‘Japan Flower Stone China JWR’ to the underside and the platter is marked ‘Fancy Stone China JWR’ to the underside.
