    Description

    Pleased to offer the prettiest John Meir Plate I've seen.  It's a
    Circa 1820 John Meir Staffordshire Blue and White Transfer Plate; "River Fishing" Pattern with a Briar Rose Border.  The central scene is fascinating; it shows all sorts of little "mini scenes" You have boys intently fishing in the foreground, cattle in the river, women on the shore, a water wheel, thatched cottages and then, a mansion in the background.  Beautiful plate.  It has a small chip on the top edge; quite a few flea bites on the edge and very minor cutlery marks.  Amazingly, no crazing at all except on the rim.  It has the MEIR impressed stamp and measures just under 10".  Thanks for taking a look !
