In 1870, Thomas Edison crash-landed his newly invented ether flyer on Mars, opening the way to an ancient and exotic civilization. Nineteen years later, the British Empire now patrols its own colonial enclaves on Mars in aerial gunboats - but not without rivalry with Martian princes and other European colonial powers. Such is the premise behind this fast-playing and engrossing game of Victorian-style science fiction. Set includes the Games Rules book; 16-page introduction to SPACE: 1889; 16-page Ship Form Book; two Reference Folders; 15 model-quality, plastic Sky Galleons and Aerial Gunboats; 4 dice; and two giant maps. Join Her Majesty's Navy and see the worlds!
