    Description

I recently purchased a player grade 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom. It was originally wine red color however at some point during its 41 year life it was stripped down to bare wood and refinished with a clear coat. I am in the process of restoring it and I am parting out the gold hardware and pickups. I do NOT think the tuning machines or pickups are original to 1979, however they are aged and could perhaps date to early 1990's is my guess. I do not have a complete history of the guitar unfortunately. Here is what is included in the lot:
1 Gibson USA Gold hum bucker in neck position, resistance reading is 7.8K, comes with original pickup ring and mount screws. 15" lead wire
1 Gibson USA Gold Hum bucker in bridge position, resistance reading of 14.02K, comes with screws and springs, however no ring. 12" lead wire
Grover Gold Tuning machines with keystone knob and original mounting screws and washers. Excellent shape, definitely not original but still has some vintage appeal. (it looks like my guitar had numerous tuning machines installed over the years, I had screw holes from schaller type and grover type).
Original Gibson ABR1 bridge with wire. Says Gibson PAT.No. 2.740.313 on backside, gold finish, saddles in great shape, comes with thumb wheels however no thimbles.
4 gold gibson style knobs, not sure if these are original or even vintage, but they are definitely good quality and not some cheap knock off.
Original jack plate, gold - metal with original screws (4).
Original strap buttons gold with screws.
The pickups are a mystery, I wish I knew. I did some research and found this chart of Gibson Pickup resistance readings and my guess is that it is a Gibson 57' gold set based on the combo of 7.8 and 14.02K, but I could be wrong. The 498T could be in the bridge and 490 in neck. They sound amazing, I am just selling because I want chrome everything. Gold is not my jam. This chart came from Gibson Les Paul Forums:
