Old body of a Hofner Beatles bass guitar, German Made approx. 1960 NOS

I bought some stuff from a old Luthier here in Germany. Here I offer a body of aViola or mandole (?). A friendly ebayer told me, that it might be the body of a beatles bass! I belive that too, as the Luthier had many new necks and bodys of Hofner Guitars. Unfortunatelly thisone is in quite bad condition, see photos! It was made in the 1960s in Germany. (No china stuff, of course!) It was made of laminated wood. (see photos) There are some damages at the lamination. (see photos) The holes are not cut yet. The back is nicely flamed.
