Corund-BM bulletproof vest provides protection according to 6A protection class according to GOST P 50744-95. ( holds an armor-piercing incendiary bullet from the SVD at a distance of 10 meters)
The bulletproof vest consists of two sections – the front and back, connected to each other by means of a detachable adjustment device. Sections include external covers with protective elements placed inside them – protective screens (front, back, apron, front collar, back collar, shoulder pads and sidewalls), anti-ricochet screens (front and back) and armor elements. In the area of the sides of the outer cover of the back section, there are pockets in which the sidewalls are installed. Sidewalls have pockets for installing additional steel armor elements to protect the sides.
On the internal surfaces of the sections, there is a ventilation and shock-absorbing system (damper), designed to reduce contusion injury and the formation of channels for natural ventilation of the subcutaneous space.
