Rare 22K 100 Micron Gold Plated Fender USA "The Strat" 1980 Gold Stratocaster

I sold this neck plate, and the buyer said the screws on his Mexican Stratocaster didn't fit. Even though the listing is sold as is no return, unless not as specified, I allowed the return. The recessed holes drilled in the plate might be slightly shallower than other Fender plates. I don't have the original screws, but I have added pictures showing neck plate screws in the holes. The first is from a mid 70s neck plate, and the last is from a generic new Fender F neck plate. These screws are not included

These neck plates came on Fender's "The Strat" model Stratocasters made from 1980-1983, and P-Bass special models of the same era.  I have only seen a few of these for sale over the years, and most were in very worn condition. This one has some surface scratches (see the pics), and a few deeper scratches near the Fender script (see the pics).  Overall, its the best example of one I have seen. It's been out of circulation for 20+ years.  All "The Strat" guitars came with 22K 100 micron gold plated (the same as fine jewelry) hardware. These were 5 guitar new in 1980, and Fender lost money on these guitars, There is plenty of information online about these guitars. Please ask all questions in advance to purchasing.
