    Description

    This is a lovely and very rare green color Ridgway Platinum band dinner plate. The plate measures about 10" across and has a transferware image on it entitled "A Clandestine Interview" in which a man visits a young lady while her chaperone naps near by. The green glaze plate features a silver (Ridgway calls it platinum) band around the rim. The back is marked "Scenes From Coaching Days & Coaching Ways by Special Permission of MacMillan & Co Ltd Ridgways".
