Ridgway Hand Painted Pink Rose Gold Floral & Matte Blue Scent Bottle C. 1820-30
Nice porcelain scent bottle with a band of relief molding beading around the top and near the bottom of the neck. The neck is decorated with hand painted pink roses, with gold gilt bands above and below. The bottom portion of the scent bottle is painted in a matte blue with a ring of gold gilt floral overlay. Gold gilding between the bottom band of beading and above the matte blue section. With gold gilding along the rim and foot rim. The top of the stopper is matte blue with gold gilt flowers and has gold gilding along the rim. Marked on the bottom with the pattern number 3/253 in red. Probably made by Ridgway. Circa 1820 to 1830.
Has crazing typical of British porcelain, some light staining to the neck of the type that may soak out, and some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
Measures approximately 2 3/8 inches wide x 3 7/8 inches tall.
