    RIDGWAY PORTLAND POTTERY  -
    COBRIDGE, STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND
    Elegant Maroon/Burgundy Red Stripe Flared Cup & Saucer
    1950+.
    Gadroon embossed rims; Gold gilt lines around red band and on rims.
    Pattern is similar to a later Colclough cup and saucer with a green stripe
    but without gadroon and a more bell shape made a little later when the companies were merged
    with Booths and Adderley as subsidiary of Royal Doulton Tablewares, Ltd.
    Would go well together.
    2 1/2" Tall Set,  Saucer 5 3/4" Wide,
    Ivory Semi-porcelain,
    Crazing in Saucer only.  Cup is excellent.
