    Description

This is a vintage 1930’s, Bedford Ware, “Tuberose”, pottery pitcher made by Ridgways in the Staffordshire section of England. For those of you who like well-aged pottery with character, then this is for you! And is very unique!
The vast majority of this pitcher has turned smoky brown with age which is usually an indication that there was a great deal of iron in the clay that was used in this particular piece. This pitcher is also full of crazing and despite it all, the integrity of the piece has not been compromised; still strong and sturdy. There are some folks that love this aged look which I happen to be one of! It will add such beauty with vintage charm!
It measures 6.25 inches wide and 6.75 inches in height. The tuberose flowers are rose, yellow and purple in color. The piece has a graceful handle & spout along with a molded, ribbed pattern along the bottom. It is signed and numbered on the bottom and is good condition with no chips or cracks aside from the all-over crazing which I have mentioned. This certainly is a one-of-a-kind piece that could be added to your dinnerware or used as a vase for a flower arrangement.
