    Up For Bid Is a
    Vintage Ridgway & Co. Pottery England Raised Hound Handle Dog Hunting Pitcher Circa 1930 - RARE
    It's in Very Good Vintage Condition. It does have age related crazing throughout it, please see photos. Otherwise, it's Great!
    No chips or cracks.
    Made In England.
    Weighs 2 pounds 3 ounces.
    Measures 7" tall to the highest point of the handle, 7" wide from spout to handle and is about 4" in diameter at the base.
    It's finished in a Beautiful Glossy Brown Mustard Glaze with the handle being lighter in color than the rest of it.
    On the bottom it's stamped into the clay: Published By W. Ridgway & Co. England October 1st 1835. Above this is a round black stamp that reads: Ridgways Old Ivory Bedford Ware Made In England. This black stamp dates it to circa 1930.
    The pitcher features a wonderfully detailed hunt scene of a regal lion with his prey on one side and an attacking boar and dogs on the other. The entire scene is bordered at the top with a scalloped banner, a fruited vine surrounds the collar of the pitcher and a hunting hound forms the handle.
    This Wonderful and Very Rare Vintage Ridgway & Co. Raised Hound Handle Dog Hunting Pitcher would make a Great addition to your Collection!
